Christmas Traditions

Every year for Christmas my mom, sisters and I get together on New Year's Eve to make tamales. It's a long process and I hate to do it, but somehow it doesn't really "feel" like Christmas until we're sitting around trying to make them. This year was a little different in the fact that we were one sister down and my eldest sister left early to meet some friends. So my other older sister, my mom and I got stuck doing the bulk of the work. Womp womp. Oh well, at least the end result is always delicious! =)

These are pics of the tamales as we're getting them ready. Do you see how I'm trying to be little miss photographer?! HaHa.. I'm trying.
